Ever heard this advice?

When you need a break - TAKE ONE!

Great advice yup.. we are quick to give it, but damn it's hard to take it..

I've been ignoring the many nudges & hints from my mind & body that they need a break, a change of scenery, shut some shit down for a while .. and just breathe.

𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙩 𝙨𝙤 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣' 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙙?

Because I feel like a loser if I'm not DOING SOMETHING? I feel lazy and unproductive. My 'worth' gets hung up on how many things I've checked off my (endless) to-do list.

..and yes, I'm well aware that I preach about basing our worthiness on the mere fact that we exist - that it's not something we need to earn.. yup.. preachin' to the choir here.. it seems I need to take my own damn advice lol

So! When the universe sent me a 𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙙𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 to take the kind of break I DREAM OF!!, I knew it wasn't something to ignore.

Now, I'll admit, I had plans to continue doing all my work during this break (aka sabotage the whole dang deal), but then someone asked if that was really necessary... ummmm ... actually, NO! it's not! I can relax & breathe and do whatever I damn well please. Now isn't that a novel idea? LOL!

Seems the lightbulb finally switched on and shone a beam at the dark corners in my own world (cripes there are a lot of cobwebs & useless garbage gathering dust here - so much shit that I can let go of) and also some really great ideas to play with!

Well, here I go - off to explore & adventure (or not, maybe just read & nap haha) but I'll follow my heart and see where it leads me.

I hope you do the same - every time you feel a pull, a yearning deep in your soul - a curiosity, or you just need to lay your head down for a bit & breathe. DO IT!!

I know, I know, you're saying - geez Deena, 𝙄 𝙘𝙖𝙣'𝙩 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙡𝙠 𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙢𝙮 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 ... I understand how trapped that makes you feel. I've been there. That's why I'm CHALLENGING YOU to look for those small windows, those invitations you ignore or deny yourself - the ones where freedom & curiosity & rest (or whatever is calling you) is waiting.. those!
